One-Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 finally has a month on the calendar. A fresh key visual confirms the second cour hits Japanese TV in January 2027, and that narrows things down a lot. Back on December 28, the production committee only promised a 2027 return right after the Part 1 finale. Now there's an actual window. The poster itself is loud in the best way. Garou dives through a blood-red wasteland, Genos and Tatsumaki flare up on either side, and Saitama sprints along the bottom beside a caped swordsman. A pale, glasses-wearing figure looms over the whole mess. The tagline roughly reads "Strongest vs Most Fearsome: the showdown." Subtle? Nope.

Why does this matter so much? Because Part 1 left a mark, and not the fun kind. The first cour drew heavy backlash over animation quality and pacing, with some episodes landing among the lowest IMDb ratings the franchise has seen. J.C.Staff is still on animation duty under director Shinpei Nagai, and Part 2 picks up at episode 37, pushing the Monster Association arc forward. That arc is where the Saitama and Garou collision finally boils over. Fans have been waiting on it since season 2 wrapped back in 2019. Years of waiting, basically, for one very big punch.

So what's the mood? The poster thread is sitting at 1.2k upvotes and nearly 400 comments, so interest is obviously there. But the feeling around the show has been split since Part 1. One camp is thrilled that Garou looks this good and that Tatsumaki and Genos get real poster space. The other camp wonders whether a long gap means actual polish or just a longer wait for the same problems. And everybody wants to know who the glasses guy in the clouds is. My hot take? This is the best piece of marketing the show has put out in years. But posters don't animate fights. A gorgeous key visual is a promise, and promises are cheap until the episodes air.

What should you actually expect? A precise premiere date and a proper trailer in the coming months, most likely landing in a winter 2027 slot. Streaming will probably mirror Part 1, where Hulu carried it in the US while Crunchyroll and Netflix covered other regions. Nothing is locked for India yet, so watch Crunchyroll's announcements. Expect another standard-length cour, a heavy dose of Garou, and a few sequences that look nothing like Part 1 at its worst. Don't expect every frame to match the poster. Temper the hype a little, then let it run anyway.
