Japanese music sensation Fujii Kaze is headed to India early next year as part of one of the biggest international music events ever staged in the country. He has been officially announced as a performer for Lollapalooza India 2026, set to take place on January 24 and 25, 2026 at Mumbai’s Mahalaxmi Race Course. This marks a major moment for both the globally rising J-Pop star and India’s live music scene.
Fujii Kaze has been on a remarkable global trajectory. In 2025 he released his third studio album Prema, his first major English-language record, which topped charts and expanded his audience beyond Japan. The artist has also just wrapped a series of stadium and arena tours across Asia, Europe, and North America, and India will be one of his first major festival appearances in South Asia.
Lollapalooza India’s lineup spans genres and generations, making it more than just a concert. Headlining acts include Linkin Park, performing in India for the first time, and American hip-hop star Playboi Carti, with high-energy sets expected over the two days. British rocker Yungblud, Grammy-nominated R&B singer Kehlani, and indie-pop acts like LANY and Calum Scott round out the international presence.
The festival also champions Indian talent alongside global stars. Folk-metal favourites Bloodywood, genre-bending producer Karsh Kale, and singer-songwriters like Ankur Tewari and The Ghalat Family are confirmed. A slew of emerging names, from Zoya and Pacifist to Gauley Bhai and Sunflower Tape Machine, are set to perform, highlighting the country’s vibrant independent music scene.
Organisers describe Lollapalooza India as a multi-genre festival experience with four immersive stages, combining rock, hip-hop, R&B, EDM, and indie sounds, and showcasing both established and up-and-coming acts. Tickets went on sale months ago and demand has been strong, especially after Linkin Park’s announcement.
For Fujii Kaze, this appearance is part of a broader year of international exposure that includes other major festival slots. For Indian audiences, hearing his live blend of soulful vocals, eclectic rhythm, and cross-cultural artistry will be a rare festival highlight, cementing Lollapalooza India 2026 as one of the most talked-about music events in the region.
